I love her owls. . .and all of her birds. I hope to play around with some more bird stamps this weekend.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcDuHNMkHChuUnsZHsTVpFExPIWeGkhbIH8U1PNpWZdlFnUvhvGmHDhyPH7ebPSdXQTjIRCVnDy5ez_xymUZZqxSTnC6yxL72X-CO96TyuKYqBq8atlhAv6Ls4Am5VR9q9yA2D1M7krbo/s1600-h/april+2008+015.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcDuHNMkHChuUnsZHsTVpFExPIWeGkhbIH8U1PNpWZdlFnUvhvGmHDhyPH7ebPSdXQTjIRCVnDy5ez_xymUZZqxSTnC6yxL72X-CO96TyuKYqBq8atlhAv6Ls4Am5VR9q9yA2D1M7krbo/s320/april+2008+015.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185498093601337330" border="0" /></a>Sorry the picture is a little crooked. The first shot I took was blurry. Anyways. . .I colored it all in with my Copic markers. The ribbon is from a pack I got on QVC. . .long time ago. It's about time I used it. Think I'm going to send this to a friend who always makes me laugh!!<br /><br />And this second card is from two sets from Paper Trey Ink. . .Green Thumb and Everyday Blessings. Amy R. inspired me with her card<a href="http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2008/04/boot-iful-basic.html"> here</a>. Isn't her's pretty with those colors??!! I love how she stamped the words over the boot so that's what I did. . .just wish it was a little darker so you could read it better. But here's my card:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBYFXSWYlWRxwUfDFbmjDaGgp9lgbps0IqjVOpiGuz-LqgNTwnRFZucdQzX2jk3tmk85-W4Y3ofOPhRfu11UYnIRQDhefnYkIkv9U4nXgMrMckPPDqugxjh74_tskpKjVTUnivnPw4ePw/s1600-h/april+2008+016.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBYFXSWYlWRxwUfDFbmjDaGgp9lgbps0IqjVOpiGuz-LqgNTwnRFZucdQzX2jk3tmk85-W4Y3ofOPhRfu11UYnIRQDhefnYkIkv9U4nXgMrMckPPDqugxjh74_tskpKjVTUnivnPw4ePw/s320/april+2008+016.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185499158753226754" border="0" /></a>Think I'm going to whip up a few more of these because I love this color combo. . .Cool Carribean, Vintage Violet and Groovy Guava. The ribbon is some I found on clearance at Target from their Club Wedd stuff. Thanks for the challenge Amy and for the inspiration!!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-81715760694717272772008-03-27T19:59:00.006-05:002008-03-27T20:08:27.560-05:00How about 3 more cards! How's this for a comeback. . .3 more cards to make 4 for today!!<br /><br />These are cards that I made a set of them for my son's teachers for teacher appreciation week. Just some random sets. . .but it was fun to do something simple for them!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjuhKA057hoBeYd_kf1gzCsIL3lYA17Bx_CEyMlpE8zzN8PpmcpR5cCyuXE03KODvFNBqcAjdPphhO3rekuOZ__U-qWecRrETvhCL-Tup-TY1Yazf9-4z8yks-VF4nVTFcAsks37GQpoA/s1600-h/march+2008+001.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjuhKA057hoBeYd_kf1gzCsIL3lYA17Bx_CEyMlpE8zzN8PpmcpR5cCyuXE03KODvFNBqcAjdPphhO3rekuOZ__U-qWecRrETvhCL-Tup-TY1Yazf9-4z8yks-VF4nVTFcAsks37GQpoA/s320/march+2008+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182591375699521474" border="0" /></a>This one I just used a stamp from the Little Bit of Happiness hostess set. . .colored it in with my Stampin' Up markers and matted it very simply. Clean and simple!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaMxIMx61EBmBHmsZlON0HhDJEfvsW1Rm2TteiMuN4BrvscwBRYH9esnU4VrDvleytbVcrUKCPLKD7ATiENKMs1LTpbSQsUajqeAbPFqb_7QaYb0sqIEYBzmrbqqxPBkevgm1BMxHqgcA/s1600-h/march+2008+002.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaMxIMx61EBmBHmsZlON0HhDJEfvsW1Rm2TteiMuN4BrvscwBRYH9esnU4VrDvleytbVcrUKCPLKD7ATiENKMs1LTpbSQsUajqeAbPFqb_7QaYb0sqIEYBzmrbqqxPBkevgm1BMxHqgcA/s320/march+2008+002.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182591792311349202" border="0" /></a><br />This one is from I forgot what set and I'm too lazy to go look it up. But I colored these in using my aquapainter and the re-inkers for mroe intense color. I stamped on watercolor paper too. I love watercoloring! It's relaxing to me!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqSeTi-736g-jT6WGGxD82yB0s-vALX84nj2JMwQOySuqAPsb-15wHWWr73wD7re3hpImCmS4X8yRsNNEno8vW8PayWN8miRZNWO_2_H4mpeXXKIIqDKrCWFqsCx_ss_5otAw094E5aug/s1600-h/march+2008+004.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqSeTi-736g-jT6WGGxD82yB0s-vALX84nj2JMwQOySuqAPsb-15wHWWr73wD7re3hpImCmS4X8yRsNNEno8vW8PayWN8miRZNWO_2_H4mpeXXKIIqDKrCWFqsCx_ss_5otAw094E5aug/s320/march+2008+004.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182592548225593314" border="0" /></a>This one I wish I had played with a little more. I love the stamp from Verve Visual and the sentiment. . .it just looks a little plain. Maybe a little more on the background?? Anyways, they were simple and fairly quick to make which was nice. <br /><br />Let's see if I can keep the posting streak up!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-60296780190835100852008-03-27T19:55:00.003-05:002008-03-27T19:59:28.111-05:00I'm back?????Well. . .not sure how much I'll really post. I haven't started out too great. But I thought I'd try again to post some things, at least once a week. How does that sound??<br /><br />Let's see. . .what should I show you? How about the Fiesta invitations that I made for my son's auction basket at school.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRnRyMkAWjKP3QDUOPu2bgxfXpGNCNunqzRx6cSAQbll_yKIhZs0kS4EFkFLQTBPyqXfmTdyHxrINhcu7DfYFYMUcagVQSRq-r8KNEzAJ1Qcw-VImkvtjVA3vxFFxwPCdtPGDqbNIGRqE/s1600-h/march+2008+397.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRnRyMkAWjKP3QDUOPu2bgxfXpGNCNunqzRx6cSAQbll_yKIhZs0kS4EFkFLQTBPyqXfmTdyHxrINhcu7DfYFYMUcagVQSRq-r8KNEzAJ1Qcw-VImkvtjVA3vxFFxwPCdtPGDqbNIGRqE/s320/march+2008+397.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182590482346323890" border="0" /></a>Not the best lighting. I took it at night. But it was fun to make. I even added glitter to the rim of the glass for the salt! These are the thank you's I made to send for our Christmas presents. One of my presents was a set of the circle Nestabilities. I LOVE them! I've seen so many other bloggers use them and I really wanted these. So my husband bought me the circles for Christmas. I use them with my Cuttlebug.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaeAPC0_oWPQrOJpRaFIxuCCsXytQ35s9jn5O4e8Ar63YbcJOJ_nWGghsaUXOiYDJf4nELCJ0Qpb4C3lEJloEmuK7aTBItdmg79P4oPSPJRkJe80AILqu7fnFliI_2FocRlI1afEejM4o/s1600-h/January+2008+008.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaeAPC0_oWPQrOJpRaFIxuCCsXytQ35s9jn5O4e8Ar63YbcJOJ_nWGghsaUXOiYDJf4nELCJ0Qpb4C3lEJloEmuK7aTBItdmg79P4oPSPJRkJe80AILqu7fnFliI_2FocRlI1afEejM4o/s320/January+2008+008.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153681690495940786" border="0" /></a>I colored in my image with Stampin' Up's markers and then did the grey outline using my Copic markers. The "thank you" words are from the new Level 2 Hostess set Spring Solitude. And the paper is from the designer prints pack. Very simple, but I love how it turned out!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-67907843083040814002008-01-09T21:11:00.001-06:002008-01-09T21:14:46.452-06:00Happy New Year. . .10 days lateHello there. I'm going to try and update this more regularly. . .we'll see how I do. I wanted to post a card made with the new Time Well Spent. . .a Level 3 hostess set that all demos received for free. I like the set. . .it's just my style.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZWc2BBQ1CDXfGxQ1e6t3OQ_u_SBSCM5W8FppvzlVBJ8J0VDAh1J2_d5DEU2SHbm1ol1lbDmSv-jAAS2qQZ0MDN7ePJi_z3OWG68j1wGYr08W_eQ9FiWdOP89XK8L9O0YXq0T2aIY5a1Q/s1600-h/January+2008+003.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZWc2BBQ1CDXfGxQ1e6t3OQ_u_SBSCM5W8FppvzlVBJ8J0VDAh1J2_d5DEU2SHbm1ol1lbDmSv-jAAS2qQZ0MDN7ePJi_z3OWG68j1wGYr08W_eQ9FiWdOP89XK8L9O0YXq0T2aIY5a1Q/s320/January+2008+003.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153680621049084066" border="0" /></a>I kept this pretty simple. It was made for a friend. I stamped the flower three times as well as the stem. I watercolored them using my Aqua Painter. I got some of the new Bali Breeze designer paper and used that behind my image as well as the Purely Pomegranate ribbon. I like this color combo: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava and Taken with Teal. Try it out and see what you can do!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-35339606903672684422007-12-11T11:27:00.000-06:002007-12-11T11:32:19.720-06:00Christmas blessings<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguHQCyPLyrIuo8rV3CfUYNnFopetLWUlQk3H-rhRt36V9jad9-QZEdyK_4Z-hd6XIksFMTQLxRG9Y-Q9mbGDB0C4gQunggfW5oOuEU9GrYUimK6j7SMEUtjXBF6d9csa5aQNSC_I5zxxE/s1600-h/december+2007+054.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguHQCyPLyrIuo8rV3CfUYNnFopetLWUlQk3H-rhRt36V9jad9-QZEdyK_4Z-hd6XIksFMTQLxRG9Y-Q9mbGDB0C4gQunggfW5oOuEU9GrYUimK6j7SMEUtjXBF6d9csa5aQNSC_I5zxxE/s320/december+2007+054.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5142768557597089618" border="0" /></a><br />Here is a quick Christmas card that I made for my Secret Santa. . .in very non-traditional Christmas colors. But I LOVE how it turned out! The stamp is from Stampendous. . .just adorable. I've seen so many other blogs posting with these stamps. I think I need more!<br /><br />The card base is Perfect Plum and stamped with the now retired Linen background. I'm so glad I snatched this one up! I used the Regal Rose ribbon and learned how to put that one nicely watch KWerner's <a href="http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/">make a card Monday video</a>. I guess it has. I have been<span style="font-weight: bold;"> so</span> busy!! I did two craft shows. . .one was great, the other was a bust! I've been working like crazy on my orders that I got there. That, plus being Mom, wife and volunteer at church and my kids' school. . .it's been crazy. I'm so sorry I've been neglecting the blog. I'm going to do much better about posting now. At least, that's my goal.<br /><br />Stampin' Up's new retirement list is up!! So many sets going! A bunch that I own!! Guess that's OK tho. I priced them at $3 each or 2 for $5. A lot of people liked them. They make the perfect little teacher's gift. . .or for the bus driver. . .or your mailman. Who doesn't like hot chocolate???!!! I hope you like them. They are just french fry boxes with a hot chocolate packet, a peppermint stick and a small bag of marshmellows. Put it in a cello bag and tie it up with ribbon.<br /><br />Hope you have a great weekend. It's coming up quickly!! Hope you like it!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-41722063574692969152007-10-24T13:49:00.000-05:002007-10-24T13:43:38.242-05:00Pick a Posey<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr4550BkF8K92fu292mFxgVyFB2eyZJO3bsd224irDEdOtuZv929lfY7wMOTzl2FCadJqKfEeOk9ph54qTFusWR6RQcgu_DsGkpkiwQDfVtgiO0p4Nmu2bhNDgHd0SgBLjM75Wl8_hz5Y/s1600-h/october+2007+165.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr4550BkF8K92fu292mFxgVyFB2eyZJO3bsd224irDEdOtuZv929lfY7wMOTzl2FCadJqKfEeOk9ph54qTFusWR6RQcgu_DsGkpkiwQDfVtgiO0p4Nmu2bhNDgHd0SgBLjM75Wl8_hz5Y/s320/october+2007+165.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124975561713410818" border="0" /></a><br />I just love this stamp set. I hated it when it retired! I have a lot of flower sets, but I do tend to use this one a lot.<br /><br />Anyways, this card I made for my upline's shoebox swap. She lives up north so I'm not able to be there in person, so I made my cards ahead of time and will mail them to her. In turn, I will get 9 different cards/projects back. I can't wait to see what I get! Last time there were so many neat things!<br /><br />I made this using Beate's awesome Emerging Colors tutorial. Great directions! It's a little time consuming with the brayering, but well worth the effect! My husband was WOWed!! He still can't figure out how I did it. So give the tutorial a try. You'll be impressed with the results!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-8865853851833229632007-10-21T20:25:00.000-05:002007-10-21T08:45:15.117-05:00Manly card<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVYeOdWSEJmTabbfWzspmfrZgUcDA3INDgd7URehLlYmH6fg2G_tJ0LTGRseK5vVBaEAFO79CkLaMXxMRmXOq-mP7GKd9WX8gGk6ejuLabtuRTQoXxt8BEM9b5_GveJMOqp6-IqIw0Pxw/s1600-h/september+2007+213.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVYeOdWSEJmTabbfWzspmfrZgUcDA3INDgd7URehLlYmH6fg2G_tJ0LTGRseK5vVBaEAFO79CkLaMXxMRmXOq-mP7GKd9WX8gGk6ejuLabtuRTQoXxt8BEM9b5_GveJMOqp6-IqIw0Pxw/s320/september+2007+213.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5123784210799944418" border="0" /></a><br />I find it very hard to make manly cards! When I first saw the On The Fly set in the new Stampin' Up catalog. . .I couldn't wait to get it! My father-in-law likes to fish as do my brothers-in-law. I go fishing with my husband and boys too in the summertime. I knew I could get a lot of use out of this set.<br />Then I started reading the posts about this set on SCS. . .how the fisherman didn't have a face and that he looked creepy. And there were <span style="font-weight: bold;">a lot </span>of ladies who thought this way! I decided I still loved the set and got it anyways! I used it for my father-in-law's birthday which is today and I really like how it turned out. I knew I wanted to watercolor it so I used some of my watercolor paper that I got from Stampin' Up. I actually drew onto the paper with my Stampin' Up markers, then used the Aqua Pen to draw some of the color out. It worked beautifully! I will definitely try this again! And I will also be using my On The Fly set again too. I still like him. . .with or without a face!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-32219216788940991112007-10-16T12:38:00.000-05:002007-10-16T12:42:53.929-05:00Christmas card<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNhYX6PqiACVbXgH1EwZtxkp-uDtLykQFzO2yMwd6RExP0ZV0tcrcV9dlBY89Ma6Q0Or7ui-iE_elW135D4VRVHDKvQ3Qe16aG-dMZRUafoN3t2iTsvyA_jb3N5wLh5IgBFB3PGmCgJ2M/s1600-h/october+2007+055.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNhYX6PqiACVbXgH1EwZtxkp-uDtLykQFzO2yMwd6RExP0ZV0tcrcV9dlBY89Ma6Q0Or7ui-iE_elW135D4VRVHDKvQ3Qe16aG-dMZRUafoN3t2iTsvyA_jb3N5wLh5IgBFB3PGmCgJ2M/s320/october+2007+055.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5121991422731117266" border="0" /></a><br />Hey there. Sorry I've been gone for a while. . .so many things to do around here!<br /><br />I thought I'd post one of the cards we'll be making for my Christmas card get-together in November. I just love this card and I hope that the ladies will too! If you're coming. . .here's your sneak peak!<br /><br />The stamp is from the Sidekick Sayings hostess set. Stamped it with Black StazOn and colored it in with my Stampin' Up markers. This is stamped on the Shimmery paper. . .just for a little shine. I had some wide White Organdy ribbon left from last year's catalog and tied that around the card. The top flap has about an inch cut off the side so you see the Wintergreen designer paper behind it.<br /><br />Hope you like it!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-62727813891978863912007-10-05T16:16:00.000-05:002007-10-05T16:43:46.151-05:00Women's retreat cards. . .take 2I finally had a chance to take a picture of the cards the ladies are making on the women's retreat and post them. I am not able to go, but I hope the ladies have fun making them!<br /><br />First up, is the one I posted before with the ribbon added. I just love the <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=da472c1d-1eb5-4c8b-90fa-ff5665afedc1&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10577816&circularid=10999">Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon</a>! It's so soft! Definitely need to collect the other colors! Again, I just used the <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=da472c1d-1eb5-4c8b-90fa-ff5665afedc1&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10577506&circularid=10999">Pick a Petal</a> set, stamped it with Black StazOn and then used my Bashful Blue marker to add the color. The center is stamped with Barely Banana.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4di6SEHA_V5wynzCmyQd5VSzXBmN8VczoD-A6M9h22YHNNCP51L4IfNArIteCB_kss2vU6x2SmEHxFyTys8s49q9v_yTFHjzY6MyXcuO3HdvqmvaKta1svtjbsUEDeobdUgyzu8ds_4c/s1600-h/october+2007+027.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4di6SEHA_V5wynzCmyQd5VSzXBmN8VczoD-A6M9h22YHNNCP51L4IfNArIteCB_kss2vU6x2SmEHxFyTys8s49q9v_yTFHjzY6MyXcuO3HdvqmvaKta1svtjbsUEDeobdUgyzu8ds_4c/s320/october+2007+027.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117966669007577762" border="0" /></a><br />The next card can be a generic blank card inside, but I stamped a verse from <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=da472c1d-1eb5-4c8b-90fa-ff5665afedc1&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10577583&circularid=10999">God's Blessings</a> on the inside. I used <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=da472c1d-1eb5-4c8b-90fa-ff5665afedc1&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10548648&circularid=10999">Garden Whimsy</a> and randomly stamped the butterfly and on the front. I used some of my retired Cranberry Crisp ribbon on the side. I also took one butterfly, stamped it again and cut it out and attached it with a mini glue dot in the middle so it would be more 3-D.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyVr5Fepb8XiefG8HLp9Gc_OPs055QWvlWjOc4pwX1Z3WKGcpXs0EVVnzcWmimMJniq9ZDM1SuhkbpB_KONWtU77FQed9IpWL8dq9qnAFs9njEiVAzk7bB94GYIpi76V5zD6L_rAydX9I/s1600-h/october+2007+026.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyVr5Fepb8XiefG8HLp9Gc_OPs055QWvlWjOc4pwX1Z3WKGcpXs0EVVnzcWmimMJniq9ZDM1SuhkbpB_KONWtU77FQed9IpWL8dq9qnAFs9njEiVAzk7bB94GYIpi76V5zD6L_rAydX9I/s320/october+2007+026.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117967863008486066" border="0" /></a><br />This last card is a thank you card. I love how this one turned out! I used the hedgehog from <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=2630cab9-dc1e-4242-b869-751fd5503578&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10548344&circularid=10999">Fun and Fast Notes</a> and stamped him in <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=2630cab9-dc1e-4242-b869-751fd5503578&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10577790&circularid=10999">Brown StazOn</a>. Then I used Creamy Caramel and colored him in. I used the <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&circularid=10999&pagenumber=102&uniqueid=10548578&storeid=1038724">dotted argyle</a> for my background on the Creamy Caramel cardstock. I also used some of the <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&circularid=10999&pagenumber=192&uniqueid=10577817&storeid=1038724">5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon</a> and a Prima flower that matched perfectly. I just love this card and I hope the ladies do too!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQqpcITIjFk07L8KqYdgr_LuRdYcNZHEDEorSdpS0wmdgp0coSAHRCaQw_gqRzKuxrGHrzH9mAn3iBvRBxla7NLmQnZWwV9mv3K9goHciQdBEy7VAtnxmA3MHvMS4olxHfdbHhX7m5xSo/s1600-h/october+2007+028.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQqpcITIjFk07L8KqYdgr_LuRdYcNZHEDEorSdpS0wmdgp0coSAHRCaQw_gqRzKuxrGHrzH9mAn3iBvRBxla7NLmQnZWwV9mv3K9goHciQdBEy7VAtnxmA3MHvMS4olxHfdbHhX7m5xSo/s320/october+2007+028.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117968601742860994" border="0" /></a><br />Thanks for looking!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-74919907410952829972007-10-03T10:00:00.001-05:002007-10-03T10:01:13.747-05:00Thanks for the love ladies!I had to post again and say thank you for all of the sweet comments! Haven't seen any comments lately so didn't know if there was even anyone reading this blog.<br />Thought I'd show you two name frames I made as gifts. I've made larger sized ones and sold them to people at school and church. I've got a new family one that I've made with Stampin' Up's All In The Family set. I love how it turned out! I'll show that sometime. For now, here are the two frames I've made.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSgJZXMpyvRPBSPJBqcxm4rqCveg_YHNmSoE7tit7siTuVPYvTw6dA2-ASNSW_PympRyfADH4_Ae11EcqaF3e1qzJOYQNW480pZdHKKTx5bJ9veBdE1I6tFewJaxp6s9ptFTWqy91-jA0/s1600-h/August+2007+064.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSgJZXMpyvRPBSPJBqcxm4rqCveg_YHNmSoE7tit7siTuVPYvTw6dA2-ASNSW_PympRyfADH4_Ae11EcqaF3e1qzJOYQNW480pZdHKKTx5bJ9veBdE1I6tFewJaxp6s9ptFTWqy91-jA0/s320/August+2007+064.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116855685522154114" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB-TzBCUg7M_-5tGr2NYKp2ZHKrtmWlduuBHr7uXpW-Oz0QNAitbovL1BmXDqfLcqwA1hdA8fBTHkS7PRzDNsev85tNT4zUtGJ0vW6wPml0wnU7mrr7AvEl0himQEJrWm9OCgSMF6YEe8/s1600-h/August+2007+066.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB-TzBCUg7M_-5tGr2NYKp2ZHKrtmWlduuBHr7uXpW-Oz0QNAitbovL1BmXDqfLcqwA1hdA8fBTHkS7PRzDNsev85tNT4zUtGJ0vW6wPml0wnU7mrr7AvEl0himQEJrWm9OCgSMF6YEe8/s320/August+2007+066.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116855917450388114" border="0" /></a>Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-8556966337760930352007-10-01T18:49:00.000-05:002007-10-01T19:01:37.819-05:00Workshop cardsI thought I'd post the cards we made in a workshop this past weekend. The ladies seemed to like the cards. They were a bit involved though.<br />This first one I <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/654279">CASED from lizzier</a> from <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/">SCS</a>. Loved how she did the crayon resist on the card so that's what we did but I changed the colors. We used Barely Banana, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigJrQdNYYQ3YzULT5oFK_7f82TLDzNuxXjK66RcjYpIuK6OVN0zbud8rqxAXnC6Qegt05BcPdb7iO1zNn9tgAckoek3KGSozZsOzyyvRDFdfu7C7C7RVX1iHOQ43HyswLiknkM6TPWFHY/s1600-h/september+2007+211.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigJrQdNYYQ3YzULT5oFK_7f82TLDzNuxXjK66RcjYpIuK6OVN0zbud8rqxAXnC6Qegt05BcPdb7iO1zNn9tgAckoek3KGSozZsOzyyvRDFdfu7C7C7RVX1iHOQ43HyswLiknkM6TPWFHY/s320/september+2007+211.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116520549224047170" border="0" /></a>This next one was <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/675360?cat=10631">CASED from fsabad</a> also at SCS. The puzzle piece is used as the symbol for autism. It's been out for a while now, but I just got the set within the last month. Then I picked out my colors of cards, found some ribbon in my stash that I thought matched it and stamped away.<br /><br />On the Hope We Connect Soon card, I inked up my puzzle piece stamp, then took my flower stamp from Background Basics and inked it with chocolate chip and stamped onto the rubber of the puzzle piece. It therefore transferred the flowers onto the puzzle piece, then I stamped it onto the paper. Kind of a reverse kissing technique. I love how it turned out! I know that the friend that is receiving these will love them too!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoIEwBu-pj2krW8zrXrfH5KaRajBYsd9kN2DSi-6S63m6Aoow9WbgQNTjZ0MElDF-O5MgtHK0UH8b8EdThErdB7Fas7cxuOnwCLLZDy1DHyFIiaGaBJK11UA3CAB6weF7t9RtrP1Arf88/s1600-h/August+2007+126.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoIEwBu-pj2krW8zrXrfH5KaRajBYsd9kN2DSi-6S63m6Aoow9WbgQNTjZ0MElDF-O5MgtHK0UH8b8EdThErdB7Fas7cxuOnwCLLZDy1DHyFIiaGaBJK11UA3CAB6weF7t9RtrP1Arf88/s320/August+2007+126.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5107882885205177586" border="0" /></a>Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669732205535050888.post-41620959433036981552007-09-05T13:21:00.000-05:002007-09-05T13:32:23.846-05:00Two challenges in one<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvtQNdKMfNcbJUehJov6hHDruQGC5S0UTMTuQivSqNZKkeshd6ZtH0cUyKAiAzOheHVqVW1KpXPhhzFsPKMSlpkpntm9guJQM4XMmUPKVATkslEVZ7NT9q-j_v9PKhCsWcSFsqKnu2CpI/s1600-h/August+2007+123.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvtQNdKMfNcbJUehJov6hHDruQGC5S0UTMTuQivSqNZKkeshd6ZtH0cUyKAiAzOheHVqVW1KpXPhhzFsPKMSlpkpntm9guJQM4XMmUPKVATkslEVZ7NT9q-j_v9PKhCsWcSFsqKnu2CpI/s320/August+2007+123.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5106789592690046178" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7CwcK1j_ERrXCSwtGBg38Wpj-wYXfXj-4SWlZSSTVFvQ0Hnajv4rWvq5H_t6mqjK56dnzj0gtXMNvURJC4VSxGcRHqOZijnKjsB4HO_CLTyEEmyDHwlFD09Kpy0g3FzBZMGg9JkJvxBk/s1600-h/August+2007+122.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7CwcK1j_ERrXCSwtGBg38Wpj-wYXfXj-4SWlZSSTVFvQ0Hnajv4rWvq5H_t6mqjK56dnzj0gtXMNvURJC4VSxGcRHqOZijnKjsB4HO_CLTyEEmyDHwlFD09Kpy0g3FzBZMGg9JkJvxBk/s320/August+2007+122.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5106789442366190802" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizKNzd2GKujNARQTx78PnSfP_89kA0nLWLgKEOVkuIwS-G-z3KfimVvDbdryVmmXFNzH8ek0n7eCe1muDdifBVHXAYjvQ6inHvVOBTZ10JxBLftbVfcVLzqFyazqcSkvlVdVIfNY3ogtQ/s1600-h/August+2007+121.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizKNzd2GKujNARQTx78PnSfP_89kA0nLWLgKEOVkuIwS-G-z3KfimVvDbdryVmmXFNzH8ek0n7eCe1muDdifBVHXAYjvQ6inHvVOBTZ10JxBLftbVfcVLzqFyazqcSkvlVdVIfNY3ogtQ/s320/August+2007+121.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5106788067976656066" border="0" /></a><br />I thought I'd combine two challenges from SCS today into one card.<br />I highly recommend trying out the <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=44">Techniques Challenges</a> on SCS. You will learn so much by trying new things! This weeks challenge was a Surprise! card. Here's the tutorial: <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/surprisepopup.php">Surprise!</a><br />As long as you read through the directions slowly, you'll be able to make a card like this one!<br /><br />I used Groovy Guava and Always Artichoke, which are also this weeks <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283517">Color Challenge</a>. I have the Groovy Guava Designer Paper and used that for the front of my card. I used the hostess set, <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=87654111-e2ac-4e89-9f04-ca95fa3ee18b&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10548632&circularid=10999">In The Spotlight</a> as my focal image. I used my <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=87654111-e2ac-4e89-9f04-ca95fa3ee18b&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10577753&circularid=10999">Coluzzle</a> to cut out my stamped image and again for my mat around it. Love my Coluzzle!!! Added an green ice brad to the center and the front was done.<br /><br />Inside I stamped a sentiment from <a href="http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&fsid=87654111-e2ac-4e89-9f04-ca95fa3ee18b&storeid=1038724&uniqueid=10577583&circularid=10999">God's Blessings</a>.<br />I used a thing (have no clue what it's called) from my Hodgepodge Hardware kit at the top to attach my ribbon to and my card was finished. Try your hand at making one of these. They are fun!!Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455831339407152147noreply@blogger.com2
